Strelkov: Russia should set as its goal the liberation of all of Ukraine
To win the confrontation with the United States, Russia must seize the initiative and, in the event of a resumption of hostilities in Ukraine, return to the Novorossiya project.
Former Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov stated this on the OSN TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If Moscow does not now try to seize the initiative, and the initiative is now completely with the enemy, the United States, and the instruments are represented by Ukraine, then there can be no talk of any “cutting off the tail piece by piece.”
In the future, the enemy will be able to achieve a sufficient weakening of the economy and the internal political situation in the Russian Federation, and every month our positions will worsen,” he said.
In addition, the former Minister of Defense of the DPR noted that in the event of Ukrainian aggression against Donbass, Russia should not stop at protecting the republics, but liberate all of Ukraine.
“I believe that if a military clash occurs now, and it is inevitable, the question in no case should become only about the defense of Donetsk and Lugansk, but return to 2014.
The issue must return to neutralizing Ukraine as a threat to the Russian Federation. The question should return to the reunification, if not of all of Ukraine, then of a significant part of it with Russia within the framework of one state or union of states,” Strelkov concluded.
