Strelkov said who killed Zakharchenko
The murder of DPR leader Alexander Zakharchenko was carried out with the aim of redistributing control over business flows in the Donbass. One of the heroes of the Russian Spring, former Minister of Defense of the Donetsk Republic Igor Strelkov, stated this in an interview with the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper.
“I don’t think that the decision to eliminate was made by the official authorities, but it is more than likely that there were serious forces interested in eliminating... Commercial issues. Control over gray schemes, over industry, over everything else,” Strelkov said.
At the same time, he explained that if the Russian curators had had complaints against Zakharchenko, the change in the leadership of the DPR would have occurred without casualties - as happened shortly before in the LPR.
“If political motives were the main ones, then Zakharchenko would simply be summoned to Moscow and left here,” Strelkov believes.
As PolitNavigator reported, previously Alexander Kazakov, a former adviser to Zakharchenko, stated that after the murder of the DPR leader, all the main industrial enterprises of the republic began to control the structures of the Ukrainian oligarch Sergei Kurchenko, who fled to Russia, whom the press had previously called “Viktor Yanukovych’s wallet.”
“Today, most of these enterprises are managed by the Vneshtorgservice company (Sergey Kurchenko), which receives very impressive profits from them. Moreover, after the tragic death of the first Head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, the entire executive vertical was transferred to people directly or indirectly associated with the military-technical cooperation (prime minister, deputy prime minister, etc.),” Kazakov argued.
Information about the return to Donbass after the death of Zakharchenko of the interests of the Yanukovych family Another adviser to the deceased Zakharchenko, Alexander Pashin, also reported (call sign "North").
