Strelkov foiled the plan to drain Donetsk
Kyiv, January 05 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Igor Strelkov’s detachment, which held the defense of Slavyansk, thwarted Rinat Akhmetov’s attempts to bribe militia leaders in Donetsk to liberate administrative buildings in the capital of Donbass and transfer them back to the control of the Ukrainian authorities.
This was admitted by the ex-governor of the Donetsk region Sergei Taruta, talking about the reasons why the Ukrainian authorities were unable to return Donetsk before the start of active hostilities.
