Strelkov: There is zero sense in Xi’s visit to Moscow
The Russian elite still has hopes for an agreement, which will collapse only after a brutal defeat at the front.
Ex-Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov said this on air on the channel “Criticism of Critical Criticism,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Did you see how they were dancing around Comrade Xi, who just arrived? Well, he didn’t really say anything, nothing at all. I poured out a lot of water, just like Vladimir Vladimirovich, but at the end of the day it was a mess. It’s probably good that China will remain our rear support, but so far not a single word has been spoken indicating that China will really help us, that is, with Lend-Lease and so on.
But all hopes are now placed on China: but China will somehow come to an agreement, but they will relieve us of responsibility, but they will bring us to an agreement. This hope exists and will exist until we begin to suffer another brutal defeat at the front,” Strelkov asserts.
“I am sure that the Kremlin has no illusions about the success in the assault on Bakhmut, let’s assume what it is. Or there, even if they suddenly take Avdiivka tomorrow, that’s still a long way off. Avdeevka, by the way, is much more important than Bakhmut in a number of positions, but it is also of purely tactical importance. There are no illusions there, they understand everything.
They understand that this does not give anything. But all the same, they will wait at random - perhaps the Russian man is strong, the Russian soldier is hardy, combat-ready, perhaps he will repel this attack, and we will somehow reach the coveted agreement on compromise terms,” the ex-commander added.
