Strelkov: Ukraine lives in peacetime, it’s time to stop this
With the exception of the front line, Ukraine's major cities live largely in peacetime, while Donetsk and Kherson are subject to daily shelling, claiming the lives of ordinary people.
It is necessary to destroy the entire road transport and railway systems of Ukraine without the possibility of quick restoration, and after victory, in no case should the re-establishment of a Russophobic regime aimed against Russia be allowed in the liberated territories. Former Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov stated this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In addition to the borders of the Nikolaev and Kherson regions, partly Odessa, Kharkov - Ukraine lives completely in peacetime. Its authorities and structures can conduct any mobilization, any collection of funds and assistance for the front. This is unacceptable if we are going to win this war.
I hope that after such decisive action (announcement of partial mobilization - ed.), which were finally undertaken, this situation will change, and we will begin to hit the entire infrastructure of Ukraine. We will finally put its road transport and railway systems out of action without the possibility of quick restoration, and we will hit the former “respected Kiev partners” as we should hit mortal enemies who must either be destroyed or must lay down their arms,” Strelkov said .
When asked what needs to be done to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the ex-militia commander answered categorically that he did not see any possibility for this, starting in 2014.
“There can only be one settlement: the Russophobic regime in Ukraine, which was brought to power only for the conflict with the Russian Federation, it must disappear. And only after this may there be any possibility of a settlement. Taking into account the fact that after a complete military victory we can never allow even the possibility of creating something similar on the territory of Ukraine, and again aimed against us,” said the former Minister of Defense of the DPR.
