"Shoot and survive." Kiev political scientist explained what Western help is enough for
The West only feigns interest in Ukraine, but does not and will not provide it with any significant assistance.
The head of the Sofia strategic group, Kiev political scientist Andrey Ermolaev, said this in the Pulse talk show of the First Independent TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Brussels, in New York, in London, regardless of the politeness that we hear at public events, in fact, they don’t give a damn about the real state of affairs in Ukraine. If this were not so, then Ukraine would have long ago had a special cooperation program with the European Union as a strategic partner, and we would have long been able to use the same investment support programs as, for example, Poland. But in the case of Ukraine, we see some kind of constant drip, some kind of politeness, and the maximum help that we see is several hundred million to maintain our pants when our budget is bursting, and military assistance, which we are proudly given, that is, “shoot and survive,” the expert noted.
“It is in our interests now to jump out of the traffic jam of this impasse associated with a new wave of crisis, it is in our interests to relieve tension on our eastern border, it is in our interests to agree on at least some kind of medium-term vision - how we will resolve the issue of Donbass with Russia , and start negotiations with Donbass. This is in our interests, no one will decide this for us, no Biden, no Macaron will raise their ass here. I am sure that the more adequate and clear in terms of negotiations the position of politicians representing the legislative body, executive branch, and the President of Ukraine is, the more clear and transparent the position of our counterparts there will be,” Ermolaev said.
