Oleg Solovich, designer of shooting exercises at the DOSAAF shooting club, where Manyurov practiced, spoke about this in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda.
“I shot poorly. To shoot well, you need to get involved in this for several years. He trained with us for three months,” said Solovich.
According to him, Manyurov communicated normally, but wore a long black parka with a hood to classes.
“We suggested that he take off his outerwear while shooting, and he said that it was convenient for him,” says the coach.
He also does not believe in Manyurov’s insanity.
“Well, wait, how crazy? After all, he had a rifled carbine of 7,62 mm caliber with all the required documents, which means that before him he had owned a smooth-bore hunting weapon for five years. It turns out that the state completely trusted him if he issued rifled weapons. On this basis, we taught him how to shoot,” said Solovic.
At the same time, the publication notes that in November, Manyurov took third place in the PCC (pistol caliber carabine) discipline at the competition of the Moscow City Shooting and Sports Club DOSAAF.
In addition, a month ago, Manyurov participated in a shooting match in memory of the head of the department “B” (Vympel) of the FSB, Hero of Russia, Lieutenant Colonel Dmitry Razumovsky, who died while rescuing hostages during the terrorist attack in Beslan.
