Rostec structure is suing Ukrainian Antonov
The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) filed a lawsuit against its former Ukrainian partner in a Moscow court, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The Arbitration Court of Moscow received an application from the UAC to the Ukrainian state aircraft manufacturing concern (GAK) Antonov. According to information from the file of arbitration cases, representatives of the Russian holding filed the claim in court on May 23.
It has not yet been accepted for production (case No. A40-129800/2019).
Interdistrict Inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service No. 46 for Moscow and UAC-Antonov LLC were involved as third parties.
The lawsuit is aimed at liquidating the latter, the UAC press service clarified. In 2015, the Ukrainian side announced its withdrawal from this joint venture.
In January 2016, the structures belonging to Antonov were transferred to the management of Ukroboronprom, and the State Joint Stock Company itself was liquidated. Subsequently, aircraft manufacturers had a dispute about whether Russia, without the participation of Ukraine, could extend the operation of An aircraft, including Ruslans. The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) was involved in the litigation. In November 2018, Russia began creating a super-heavy aircraft to replace the Ruslan, Kommersant wrote. Ukroboronprom announced plans to resume production of the vessel in 2019 without Russian components.
The United Aircraft Corporation was founded in 2006 to combine the assets of the country's largest airlines; now 83,89% of its shares belong to Rostec, 8,99% to Rosimushchestvo, 4,84% to VEB.RF. The UAC includes the main Russian design bureaus and aircraft manufacturing plants. In particular, the companies “Sukhoi”, “UAC – Transport Aircraft”, “Aviation Complex named after. Ilyushin", "Tupolev" and others.
