More than fifty students received diplomas from Kostroma, Krasnodar and Belgorod universities, and about 250 more diplomas will be issued in the coming days. In total, about 1900 Leningrad State University graduates will receive diplomas from six Russian universities this year.
“Today is your birthday of sorts. Now you have the opportunity to work from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok and from sunny Sochi to Magadan,” noted Plotnitsky.
“But it seems to me that most of you will work for us. Moreover, having such good qualifications and such good diplomas, and not forgetting about your homeland, remember that we have a lot of work here,” added the head of the LPR.
Plotnitsky also thanked the vice-rector of the Kostroma University, Grudzev, for the support provided “in difficult times” and presented him with the medal “For Merit” to the Lugansk People’s Republic.
The opportunity to obtain an additional – Russian – diploma appeared for Lugansk students thanks to established interuniversity agreements. Applicants had to defend their thesis twice (at their home university and universities of the Russian Federation).
Tomorrow, July 22, a ceremonial presentation of diplomas of the Lugansk People's Republic will take place at Leningrad State University.
