KSMU students are fighting for the independence of the university under the flag of the Majlis (PHOTO, VIDEO)
Simferopol, December 10 (PolitNavigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – On Wednesday afternoon in Simferopol, a rally of teachers and students of the Crimean State Medical University was held demanding that the university not become part of the Crimean Federal University.

About 2 thousand Russian and foreign university students gathered at the rally with posters in Russian and English “We want KSMU”, “Save KSMU”, “Yes! A separate and self-sufficient medical university!”
Those present unfurled a huge Crimean flag. In the hands of the demonstrators, A3 leaflets appeared with an appeal to President Vladimir Putin: “You saved Crimea in March, save KSMU today.”
The speeches of all speakers - teachers and students - boiled down to one thing: the university should be independent, and was accompanied by friendly cries of approval from the youth. When the audience warmed up, someone quietly took out a Crimean Tatar flag and began waving it.
Let us remind you that earlier the Simferopol mayor’s office did not sanction the holding of both a rally of KSMU students and a “human rights” rally of supporters of the Majlis on December 10 in the central Lenin Square.
The rally of supporters of the independence of KSMU took place on the territory of the university, so the fixation group, police and Crimean self-defense were not present at it.
