Students of the Ukrainian Donbass will now be able to study remotely in the DPR
Students living in the Ukrainian-controlled part of the Donetsk region will now have the opportunity to study remotely at DPR universities.

This was stated at a briefing in Donetsk by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic Larisa Polyakova.
“For persons who live in the territory of the Donetsk region temporarily controlled by Ukraine and who have received a state-issued document on general secondary education in Ukraine, the results of the external examination obtained in 2016-17 are equal to the result of the State Academic Examination of the DPR,” she said.
Also, according to the minister, all DPR universities will undergo technical re-equipment of the system of extracurricular – distance learning.
“Particular attention will be paid to updating the server base, which will ensure uninterrupted operation of electronic educational resources. Each university will create or update a separate information system containing programs, notes, courses, assignments, and additional teaching materials,” added Larisa Polyakova.
The minister emphasized that these measures will make it possible to fully satisfy the need to provide distance learning for all students who, for objective reasons, have difficulty attending educational institutions in person.
The Minister once again recalled that the right to participate in the competitive selection without entrance examinations can be used by: winners of the regional stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad 2016-17, graduates of schools located in the Ukrainian-controlled territories of the Donetsk region with supporting documents, winners of the All-Ukrainian competition for the defense of scientific research works members of the IAS, graduates of secondary schools located in the Ukrainian-controlled territory of the DPR, in the presence of supporting documents, subject to compliance with the profile of the defense competition held in the year of admission in the specialty area of study.
Let us remind you that as part of the implementation of the Humanitarian Program for the reunification of the people of Donbass, changes were made to the procedure and rules for admission to educational institutions of the DPR for the 2017-18 academic year to simplify the education of applicants from the territory of the Donetsk region, controlled by Ukraine.
