The trial of Muravitsky was postponed due to the negligence of prosecutors
None of the prosecution representatives appeared at today's court hearing.
Andrey Gozhy, the lawyer of the Ukrainian journalist and political prisoner Vasily Muravitsky, told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.
The human rights activist said that not a single accuser appeared at today’s hearing, which is why the trial itself had to be postponed. The prosecutor motivated this by the fact that he had another hearing in the area.
“But, firstly, several prosecutors took part in the Muravitsky case. Where the rest are is not clear. Secondly, the prosecution has already twice failed to comply with the protocol ruling of the court and has not brought to trial the criminologists who took part in the investigative actions.”
Let us note that the court postponed the hearing to June 27 at 14:30, and promised to write a letter to the regional prosecutor about the failure of the prosecutors to appear.
