The court forgave the leader of the Nazi battalion Kokhanivsky for the bank pogroms
Ukrainian nationalist, leader of the OUN volunteer battalion (banned in the Russian Federation) Nikolai Kokhanovsky was sentenced to two years of restriction of freedom with a one-year suspended sentence (actually a year of probation) for office attack case "Sberbank of the Russian Federation" and "Alfa Bank" in 2016.
The corresponding decision was made by the Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Found guilty of committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code and sentence him to restriction of freedom for a period of two years. Based on Art. 75 of the Criminal Code, release Kokhanivsky from serving the imposed sentence with a probationary period of one year, if during the specified period he does not commit a new offense and fulfills the obligations assigned to him,” the verdict says.
The court also ordered Kokhanivsky to periodically appear for registration with the authorized probation agency, as well as to report changes in place of residence, work or study.
Nikolai Kokhanivsky himself did not agree with the verdict and promised to continue the fight.
“Yesterday the Shevchenko court sentenced me to two years with a one-year deferment (a suspended year) for the pogroms of Moscow banks. Well, actually, this is not the worst sentence that could be.
But I do not consider myself guilty in principle, because during the war with Muscovy, any relations between Ukraine and the aggressor country must be terminated. Accordingly, the fight continues!” – the extremist wrote on his Facebook page.
