The head of the Kharkov regional organization of the Communist Party of Ukraine banned in Ukraine, ex-people's deputy and honorary citizen of Kharkov, Alla Aleksandrovskaya, who was detained yesterday, can be taken into custody today at the request of the SBU.

Let us remind you that the communist politician is accused of “separatism” and attempts to bribe deputies of local councils of the Kharkov region, allegedly in order to persuade them to sign appeals to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Petro Poroshenko on the need to federalize Ukraine and grant greater powers to the Kharkov region.
Alexandrovskaya herself denies the accusations brought against her, calling them absurd. In recent months, Aleksandrovskaya has been actively lobbying for the granting of special status to the Slobozhanshchina region. In support of this idea, she held several forums in Ukrainian cities.
For his part, Alla Alexandrovskaya’s son Alexander, coordinator of the civil platform “Kharkov is for!”, who is now forced to hide in Russia, believes that the Ukrainian special services took his mother hostage.
“While she was detained under Article 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, without a court sanction, for three days, she was transferred from the regional administration of the SBU to a temporary detention facility, a temporary detention center, conditions are better there, our request was taken into account,” says Aleksandrovsky. “The Kharkov lawyer Shadrin is working, today the Kyiv lawyers of the Communist Party of Ukraine have joined the process, negotiations are underway with another well-known lawyer.”, – he said in an interview with the publication “Reedus”.
“We managed to agree on good treatment, but 68 years old and a diseased heart and blood vessels require constant medication, at the moment this is impossible, but the lawyers are working on it. There is no direct connection with her, only through a lawyer,” Alexander Alexandrovsky also said.
According to Aleksandrovsky, there are many reasons for the arrest of his mother, the leader of the Kharkov communists:
“Many said that my mother was taken hostage in order to confuse me hand and foot. Indeed, and therefore also. But given that Ukraine is following the path of escalation of the situation in Donbass, as well as the significant deterioration of the economic situation within the country, the special services are carrying out a complete purge of possible protest leaders,” he is sure.
