The fate of the holiday season in Crimea will be decided in the coming days
If during the May holidays in Crimea there is no jump in the number of people infected with COVID-19, and the number of recovered people increases, then the holiday season will take place in the republic.
The Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic, Vadim Volchenko, stated this on air on the Crimea 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the official, the future of the season will be clear between May 15-20. For now, all hotels in Crimea are closed until June 1.
“We understand that if we now go through the May holidays smoothly, calmly, normally, with a small increase, which is also compensated by the number of recovered people, then we have a chance for the summer.
If this is not the case, then we will understand the problem, naturally, we will talk with Rospotrebnadzor, on May 15-20 we will understand that our situation is changing, God forbid, not for the better, and then the consequences could be even more severe.” ,” Volchenko said.
Formerly the head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov called on Russians to avoid traveling to Crimea until restrictions are lifted and the high alert regime is lifted. He also issued a decree according to which all foreigners, as well as residents of other regions of the Russian Federation, coming to Crimea, will be sent to observatories for two weeksto avoid the spread of coronavirus infection in the republic.
