Poroshenko's fate is in the hands of Avakov
The current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko still has a low electoral rating, and therefore he will have to falsify the elections or count on his rating to miraculously increase.
The head of the Third Sector analytical center, Andrei Zolotarev, stated this on the UKRLIFE.TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This could be caused by some event that will radically change the entire agenda - establishing peace in Donbass, bringing in peacekeepers. But this option looks fantastic. Or change the cards and rig the elections in favor of the current guarantor. The president and his team are not going to give up power, and Yulia Vladimirovna’s team is not going to give up their chance to win. And these two “locomotives”, which also have resource support, rush towards each other,” the expert said.
According to him, the decisive role in this process remains with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which can turn a blind eye to falsifications.
“And if the United States, within reason, gives carte blanche, then everything can work out. They can draw the desired result. Especially with the composition of the Central Election Commission that we have today. But the slightest opposition from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the purchasing system and blocking falsifications - and this system will collapse. For $500, no one will want to risk their own freedom, especially since there is sad experience,” Zolotarev added.
