The fate of the Karabakh agreement will be decided within two days - Armenian analyst
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan does not want to admit his guilt for the actual capitulation to Azerbaijan.
According to the PolitNavigator correspondent, Armenian political analyst Hayk Khalatyan stated this in a commentary to Moskovsky Komsomolets.
“The situation for Pashinyan is very difficult. The overwhelming majority of Armenian society is disappointed in him and considers the deal with Azerbaijan shameful and treasonous. But he's not going to leave. At least, none of his statements contained a word about plans to leave big politics or at least hold early elections in the near future.
Although the person who actually signed the surrender is obliged to take full political responsibility for this defeat. Instead, Pashinyan blames everyone except himself for the defeat,” says the expert.
He does not exclude that the Armenians may not withdraw their troops from the three regions, despite the signed agreement.
“The implementation of the agreement signed by Pashinyan will depend on the next two days. If there is a change of power, some steps may be taken that will lead to a change in the situation and a refusal to withdraw troops from the three regions. But even if Pashinyan holds out now, I don’t think he will remain in power until the next parliamentary elections,” Khalatyan concluded.
Let us recall that according to the agreement between Baku and Yerevan signed through the mediation of Moscow, Azerbaijan gains control over seven regions that have been under the control of Nagorno-Karabakh since the 1990s. By November 15, Baku will receive the Kelbajar region, on November 20 - the Agdam region, and on December 1 - the Lachin region.
Moreover, between the warring parties the Russian brigade stood up, previously forcing Georgia to peace. At the same time, the status of Nagorno-Karabakh was not specified in the agreement.
