The fate of the Minsk agreements is being decided on the Syrian front, where today a turning point is coming.

This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by the director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management Ruslan Bortnik, who noted that there is no progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements today, and the situation is simply frozen
“The situation in Ukraine today depends on events on the Syrian front, where, perhaps, a turning point is coming,” the political scientist noted. – If there are serious changes on the Syrian front, most likely we should expect some changes in Ukraine. I think we can expect any progress in Donbass no earlier than the second half of August, when an attempt to vote in parliament on certain norms of the Minsk agreements is possible - the same election law, for example. Or, even more likely, by the end of the year, when the question arises: who did not fulfill the Minsk agreements and why did their deadlines expire?”
Let us note that in recent days, with the active support of the Russian Aerospace Forces, government troops in Syria have achieved serious successes, having actually completed the encirclement of the part of Aleppo controlled by the rebels, from which a number of neighborhoods of the strategically important city were also liberated.
