The fate of Ukraine will be determined by an international conference
The current Ukrainian elite has driven itself into a corner with belligerent rhetoric and remains in power only by betting on the continuation of the conflict. However, if a way out of the crisis that has been going on for several years is not proposed in Kyiv, the fate of Ukraine will be decided at an international conference with the participation of external players.
This forecast was voiced on the Topinform channel by Kiev journalist Iskander Khisamov, now working in Moscow as the head of the Ukraina.Ru publication.

He recalled that Petro Poroshenko won the presidential election in the first round for the first time in Ukrainian history, when, thanks to the promise of a quick peace, even some residents of Donbass supported the oligarch-confectioner.
“Everyone wanted this peace from him, but he didn’t do it... The current regime is at war, this is its core - and the “Russian threat,” imaginary, of course. This is an excuse for all crimes and mistakes... Those who started this “ATO” are Turchinov, Avakov, Parubiy and everyone else. These people will fight to the last, so that there is no peace, no parliamentary elections, no change of power,” Khisamov believes.
In his opinion, a solution could be a decision on a general amnesty and the re-establishment of Ukraine on new rules, but the current government, with its bellicose rhetoric, has made it impossible for itself to implement such a scenario.
“If there is some kind of international conference on Ukraine, and I think that sooner or later there will be one, at which the fate of Ukraine will be decided - as a single state, federation, commonwealth of some territories... it’s 50/50 - either Ukraine itself will be decided within the state by parliament. Will make a sovereign decision on the rights of languages, relationships between regions, and everything else, or they will leave.
We say: “Now, the separatists have pieces of Donbass.” I think that after some time this will still be a very big problem, it will grow as the economy fades, politics degrades, the quality of government decisions and so on,” Khisamov said.
In his opinion, Ukraine is only at the beginning of the path of degradation, and it can only get worse if relations with Russia do not begin to be restored and peace does not come to the country.
“In addition to MotorSich and Yuzhmash, there are many other things in Ukraine that could produce products that Russia needs - it is important not to lose this. We often think that everything is over. Now, for some reason, many people think that things won’t get worse. And I tell you that we are only at the beginning of the path of all kinds of tragedies. If we don’t come to our senses, if Ukraine now fits into all this global crap, gets involved in all these “cool” processes as the tip of the spear, then it’s scary to think what will happen to Ukraine. The first to suffer, the most painfully, will be Ukraine. But the personal political goals of our leaders do not coincide with our national interests. National interests in Minsk. The Minsk process must be completed and peace must be established,” Khisamov said.
