The judges of the Supreme Court of Ukraine have gone crazy
The judges of the Supreme Court of Ukraine have “lost their minds” or are not doing their direct duties, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by Ukrainian lawyer, ex-deputy head of the Administration during the times of Viktor Yanukovych, Andrey Portnov.
“Didn’t you accidentally lose your mind there in the Supreme Court? Perhaps you need to be reminded that the judiciary cannot make political statements, especially on issues that will later be the subject of dozens of disputes in court?
Or have you already decided on your legal position even before the first lawsuits were filed in the courts?
Or are you so impatient to become famous for something due to the lack of results in the area of your direct competence?
And who is pulling your tail with your opinion? Maybe it’s time for the head of the Supreme Court to attend less protocol events with Poroshenko and read the code of judicial ethics?
Or do you have no job? And maybe it’s not you who have accumulated more than a hundred thousand unconsidered cases in the Supreme Court?” Portnov wrote in his Telegram channel, commenting on today’s statement on the Supreme Court website.
“The adoption of the law on language is the restoration of historical justice and now the Ukrainian language will be reliably protected by the state,” - says a statement on the Supreme Court's social network page. The Court is also happy that now their right to speak English is “protected by law.”
“Stop taking pictures in embroidered shirts at monuments and running with a video camera at marathons. Start working already, narcissistic reformers,” Portnov urged the judges.
