“Judging by the Ukrainian hysteria, Kyiv and Lviv are being bombed”
The Donetsk character is not characterized by pathos and ostentatious hysteria, unlike the heralds of the Maidan.
The Russian writer Zakhar Prilepin, who came to the defense of the DPR, stated this on the air of the television program “Right to Know,” the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“I saw how wealthy, calm, and imperturbable the Donetsk character is. Sometimes it even puts me in a state of slight surprise. When you gather local youth, journalists or local bloggers and say: “Remember, guys, what happened in Kyiv during the Maidan, how a million bloggers (not bots, honest guys!) wrote that we have a nightmare, they will kill us, now the Russian will come special forces, they will shoot, the Berkut will cut into pieces - and this hysteria did not stop for a second, and the whole world was simply riveted to it!
Look at yourself, you are being bombed, killed, blown up - and there is complete silence on your blogs, you can barely tell it! You don’t even have this ability to “get yourself going,” to swing yourself, to raise your voice, like, “What’s going on!” - said the writer.
According to Prilepin, the same story is with the DPR army soldiers, who are not very frank in their blogs.
“If they come to the blog, they will post a photo with a flower and nothing about their exploits. It feels like Donbass is accomplishing a feat, but at the same time saying: “Well, we’re doing it, so what?” But we know how things are!” he noted.
“Judging by the level of shouting, bombings are taking place in Kyiv, in Lvov, there are alleys of executed children, a burial ground was blown up there, burials were made there, but in Donetsk there is nothing, Gorlovka is not being shelled - this is the feeling sometimes created. And you come to Russia, they say, but you have a war there, no? I say there wasn’t a day when they didn’t shoot. There hasn’t been a day in four years without shelling,” added Zakhar Prilepin.
