This is the first such department in the public sector in the system of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, reports the press service of the Rivne Regional State Administration.

“Finally, there will be a worthy Center for our defenders and all Ukrainians who need rehabilitation. Klevan Hospital is one of the best in Ukraine, which is why we decided to equip a spinal center on its basis. I would like people who are going to build or renovate rehabilitation centers to see how it works here. And most importantly - specialists. Because it is not the equipment that makes rehabilitation successful, but the people. And daily work, and the desire to get back on your feet, and the care of loved ones,” said the acting director at the opening of the Center. Minister of Health Ulyana Suprun.

The new medical facility is provided for patients - ATO militants with consequences of severe traumatic brain and spinal injuries requiring long-term treatment and rehabilitation. Wounded people from all over Ukraine will be treated here. The facility has 50 beds, the average duration of treatment is 180 days.

The center in Klevan was equipped with modern equipment, multifunctional wards and treatment rooms were installed.

Elevators are provided for wheelchair users. The wards are equipped with video surveillance, and there are call buttons next to the beds. There are separate wards for disabled people of group I and their relatives.

There is a large swimming pool, which is planned to be equipped with an underwater treadmill.

There is a common space for patients to spend time and support each other. There are adaptation cottages nearby so that patients can adjust to life at home without assistive devices before being discharged home.

In addition to the services of the Center, ATO fighters will use the full range of health procedures at the hospital. It will provide not only rehabilitation, but also therapeutic support for patients with concomitant diseases.

For the renovation of the premises where the Center is located, 7 million UAH were allocated from the regional budget, and another 11 million UAH were allocated from the State Fund for Regional Development. Separately, 28 million UAH were allocated from the state budget for the purchase of medical equipment.
