“It’s a good meeting,” Surkov said, as quoted by the Belarusian news agency Belta.
“We agreed that the current situation in the southeast of Ukraine cannot suit either the conflicting parties or external forces promoting a settlement. The discussion was conducted in a tone of mutual respect and interest, honestly, seriously, without illusions or bias. The commitment to the Minsk agreements was not questioned: both sides proposed fresh ideas and innovative approaches to their implementation,” added the aide to the President of the Russian Federation.
“We agreed to continue working together. We identified topics for the next meeting. We agreed that the peace process both on the political track and in the security sphere can and should move faster,” Surkov added.
