Surkov: “NATO peacekeepers” should be introduced into the Sea of Azov
In order to change the situation in the Sea of Azov in favor of Ukraine, Kyiv must provoke Russia into more radical actions, which will result in the introduction of NATO “peacekeepers” into the region. Ukrainian military expert Alexander Surkov stated this on the Pryamoy TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, according to him, Ukraine needs to manage to do this in such a way as not to provoke a military conflict.
“We need to provoke Russia into some actions in such a way that, on the one hand, we do not get an escalation of the military conflict, and, on the other, we get an excellent reason for bringing in NATO stabilizing forces - Britain and the United States,” - said Surkov.
Previously, fugitive ex-deputy of the Russian State Duma Ilya Ponomarev, the only member of parliament who did not support the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation, called for NATO ships to be sent into the Sea of Azov.
As the agency reported "Reedus", Ukraine decided to create a naval base on the Sea of Azov in the waters of commercial ports.
