Surkov will once again “break off” Volker
US Special Representative Kurt Volker will have to explain why the Ukrainian authorities, controlled by the Americans, continue to take steps that run counter to the Minsk agreements.
DPR parliament member Miroslava Rudenko told PolitNavigator about this, commenting on the negotiations announced for January 26 between Volker and Russian Presidential Aide Vladislav Surkov.

“I think that one of the issues that will be raised during this meeting will be the United States’ attempt to explain how much it supports the inadequate policy of the Ukrainian government, which runs counter to any peace agreements,” the deputy noted, commenting on the vote in the Verkhovna Rada of the law on “reintegration of Donbass”, where Russia is called an “aggressor”.
According to Rudenko, it is obvious that such actions of Ukraine receive tacit approval from the United States - the vote in the Rada coincided with promises of supplies of American weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“They are thus leading Ukraine to continue its aggressive policy,” Miroslav Rudenko is sure.
The deputy predicts that at the upcoming meeting the representative from the Russian Federation will not make concessions on Donbass.
“There have already been several meetings, during which there is the usual exchange of opinions, but everyone remains to their own. However, we can say for sure that the interests of Donbass will be taken into account at this meeting, and no one is going to give up the republic. We saw this in the results of the last meeting, when Surkov rejected almost all of Volcker’s proposals regarding the peacekeeping mission,” Miroslav Rudenko emphasized.
“Russia’s position regarding Donbass is as clear and realistic as possible. It remains within the framework of a peaceful resolution of the conflict,” the deputy concluded.
