Suslov: Mass rolling blackouts in Ukraine are disguised as planned emergencies
To maintain the stability of the Ukrainian energy system, rolling blackouts are carried out, which are allegedly carried out on a planned or emergency basis.
Former Minister of Economy of Ukraine Viktor Suslov stated this on the UkrLive TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for rolling blackouts, this morning I opened the news, and there is electricity cut off across Ukraine in more than 160 settlements. Supposedly in a planned manner, somewhere – in an emergency manner. It is likely that a significant part is still rolling blackouts to maintain the energy system,” he noted.
“Therefore, what the government promises and what it does are different. What would I do? I would say that this is an area where government regulation of tariffs is mandatory. At the heart of everything is the price of gas. We remind you all the time that Ukraine produces two-thirds of its gas itself,” he said.
