Suzdal residents are afraid that ships with American Abrams will go to Odessa
Ukraine needs the unblocking of ports not for the export of grain, but for the import of heavy weapons under the guise of humanitarian cargo.
Political scientist Andrei Suzdaltsev said this on air on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Suzdaltsev, Ukraine can receive American tanks that will arrive at its ports on board civilian ships.
“Firstly, non-dry cargo ships can come here. There are ships that carry equipment, where equipment enters, that there is no point in checking. That is, ports are opening - that’s the most important thing... What Ukraine is asking for now is tanks. Airplanes don't carry tanks. And heavy equipment is all by sea. And you can also carry such tanks on railway platforms, given that the tracks are different.
"Abrams" are heavy tanks, they need the sea, of course. They are ready to fight with us for a long time, and this sea must be opened. So that's a problem. Until the Ukrainian regime loses access to its ports, we will not finish the special operation,” Suzdaltsev said.
