The head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Viktor Muzhenko, announced this on his Facebook.
As Muzhenko writes, such a badge “will be received by all fighters who defended Ukrainian lands from the enemy during the ATO.”
“The distinction of Chief of the General Staff - Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be given to fighters who defended the independence of Ukraine and its freedom with arms in hand. I am personally grateful to our heroes. Society also respects its defenders, so soldiers and officers will be able to proudly wear the “ATO Participant” badge,” Muzhenko wrote.
Earlier, with reference to CyberBerkut data, it was reported that the real Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of Ukraine are Generals Wesley Clark and Waldemar Skrzypczak.
Hackers from the CyberBerkut group published part of the English-language correspondence between Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and American billionaire George Soros: Among the documents was a circular confirming that Poroshenko’s two military advisers, Clark and Skshipchak, exercise actual command of the Ukrainian military formations. Thus, Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak and Chief of the General Staff Viktor Muzhenko are nothing more than decorations, preserved in order to maintain appearances.
