“Poroshenko’s Witnesses” believe in fair elections
Two-thirds of Ukrainian citizens, or 66%, believe that the upcoming presidential elections in Ukraine will be unfair.
This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the Sociological Group “Rating”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Only 12% are convinced of the fairness of the elections, another 22% cannot yet answer this question. Moreover, among those who are ready to vote for Poroshenko in the elections, the number of believers in the integrity of the elections is three times higher than the average - 38%, and only 42% of non-believers.
In second place in terms of trust are Vakarchuk’s voters (22% and 55%).
64% believe that it is necessary to strictly punish presidential candidates, on whose behalf during the elections they will distribute assistance to voters (rations, funds for repairs, assistance for treatment, etc.). 23% have the opposite opinion.
A relatively high level of tolerance for electoral bribery is observed among respondents in the South, where a third believe that there is no need to punish for distributing material assistance during elections. There are also relatively more people who support the distribution of aid among the oldest respondents.
The survey was conducted on June 14-24, 2018 among 2500 citizens of Ukraine aged 18 years and older through a formal interview (face-to-face). The sample is representative by age, gender, region and type of settlement. Error in the representativeness of the study: no more than 2,0%.
