Svidomo marked Simferopol yellow and blue
In Simferopol, representatives of the exotic “Crimean Ukrainians” staged actions in honor of “Independence Day of Ukraine.” So, they laid flowers at the monument to Taras Shevchenko in the Crimean capital and hung yellow-blue balloons on the fence around the square named after him, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to one of these “activists,” Leonid Kuzmin, near the railway station in Simferopol, the police detained his associates Alena Popova and Galina Balaban.
“In Simferopol, activists of the Ukrainian Cultural Center Alena Popova and Galina Balaban were detained at the railway station,” said Kuzmin.
According to him, the reason for the detention was a check of the “activists’” documents. Both were released a short time later.
