“Svidomo” deputy: Donbass miners “eat up” the grandmothers of Volyn
Donbass miners receive an indecently high pension for them, thereby “eating up” the rest of Ukraine.
Non-factional deputy Sergei Mishchenko stated this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the beginning of his speech, the deputy read out the latest message from the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, which states that it is urgently necessary to eliminate the imbalance that has arisen in the pension reform.
After this, the deputy addressed everyone present with the question of who forced his colleagues to accept this kind of reform, if they knew and calculated that after its adoption there would be certain distortions and shortcomings.
“And we, in turn, said that soon this will be the number one problem in Ukraine. You simply divided people into two classes: those who received an increase in pensions from 2 to 6 thousand, and everyone else who received handouts. And pensioners such as journalists and scientists received nothing at all. And the collective farmers who worked on the workday for more than forty years received “handouts,” said the deputy.
The press service’s report raises another problem that was identified after the recalculation of pensions: for some pensioners, the recalculated amount was several times less than for others:
“The latest sociological studies have shown that only 9% of pensioners are satisfied with this reform, and 91 are not. Question: Where did all the money go? According to the same ministry, the bulk of the billions went to the occupied territories. Because the miners who, according to the list, worked one at a time, of which, by the way, there are almost half a million in the Donbass, received an increase from 2 to 6 thousand.
Do you know such a thing as retirement tourism? Today in Mariupol it is impossible to rent an apartment. Why? Because every month, pensioner citizens of the so-called DPR and LPR come to us to receive pensions, and then return back to the occupied territories and receive them there.
How then can we explain this to the grandmothers from the Volyn, Ternopil, and Kyiv regions, who received nothing at all?
After this, a non-factional deputy called on the authorities to return to the previous standards of reform:
“I urge all those who will go to the presidential and parliamentary elections and those majoritarians who accepted this reform: until you make changes to this reform, returning all the coefficients to the previous level, then there will be some sense,” Mishchenko said .
