“Svidomo” from Lvov ensured that the menu in washing machines was in Ukrainian
Kyiv, October 21 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – A teacher at Lviv National University, Svyatoslav Litynsky, ensured that imported washing machines with a Ukrainian-language interface began to be supplied to Ukraine. The newspaper “Young Ukraine” writes about this.

Thus, even before the events on Maidan, LNU teacher Litynsky filed a lawsuit against the Samsung company with a demand to produce products with a Ukrainian interface: before that, only a Russian-language interface was in use, which incredibly irritated the “Svidomo” teacher.
After several lawsuits, the court ruled that “marking in a foreign language does not comply with the language legislation of Ukraine,” but added in a separate paragraph that Litynsky’s rights were not violated. However, at the last court hearing, company representatives showed Litynsky a letter, which stated that washing machines with a Ukrainian interface would begin arriving in Ukraine in July. Their sale began in August. And another company, Electrolux, decided to please “nationally-conscious” Ukrainians without litigation and also began producing products with an interface in the Ukrainian language in October.
But the jingoistic patriot Stanislav Litynsky does not stop there. The next goal is to achieve the abolition of duplication of information in Russian in the passports of Ukrainian citizens.
