Svinarchuk Poroshenko left the pre-trial detention center on bail with an electronic bracelet
Oleg Svinarchuk-Gladkovsky, former deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and business partner of Petro Poroshenko in the Bogdan corporation, who was recently arrested for two months, was released from pre-trial detention center on bail of more than 10 million UAH, which was provided by his relatives, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I will defend my honor and dignity,” said the official accused of corruption.
On October 19, the court chose a preventive measure for Svinarchuk-Gladkovsky in the form of detention for two months with an alternative bail of more than 10 million UAH.
On October 17, NABU announced the detention of former first deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleg Svinarchuk-Gladkovsky on suspicion of abuse of office.
On October 18, NABU detectives informed him of suspicion of committing crimes under Part 2 of Art. 364 (abuse of official position) and Art. 366-1 (declaration of false information) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Prosecutors petitioned to select a preventive measure for Gladkovsky in the form of detention with the possibility of posting a bail of 100 million UAH.
The court believes that the amount of bail assigned to Gladkovsky corresponds to the damage caused. Prosecutor General Ruslan Ryaboshapka is confident that the possibility of bail for Gladkovsky will not allow him to escape.
Today, Svinarchuk-Gladkovsky was wearing an electronic bracelet, as his lawyer Ruslan Volynets told reporters.
“We put the bracelet on, it’s there. We are complying with the court’s decision,” the lawyer said.
