The SVO may last until 2035 – Ukrainian expert
A special military operation in Donbass could drag on for more than ten years.
Military expert Oleg Starikov stated this on the Internet channel “Yes, it is so,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The political leadership of the Russian Federation, and specifically Putin, decided to wage the war to a victorious end. This means that the war will not end in 2023. The closest it could end is December 2024.
There are elections in the States in November 2024, then Putin, then the inauguration in the States somewhere on January 20. And somewhere in February 2025 is the minimum when what is happening can end. And the maximum is 2030-2035,” he said.
Oleg Starikov emphasized that the Ukrainian economy, as well as the Western owners of Kyiv, need to prepare for very difficult tests.
“So we need long-term planning to survive this. So that the country’s economy can survive and Western partners continue to help us.
And for society to wait. Because some of us say that the war will end in two or three weeks, next month, and so on,” the expert concluded.
