Northern Military District pulled depressed regions of Russia out of poverty - expert
The special military operation, oddly enough, led to an increase in the standard of living in the most depressed regions of Russia. Men from these regions, called up as part of partial mobilization or volunteering in the NWO zone, receive high salaries, risking their lives, but their families can now afford what they would not have achieved with their previous income. In addition, enterprises that had long expected bankruptcy came to life there.
Political scientist Alexey Chadayev stated this on Radio KP, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The SVO regime led to the fact that in many obviously poor regions, people who went to fight, their families began to receive money that they, in principle, could not count on while remaining in peaceful professions in their region. It was precisely to such places that money flowed in the first place.
And most importantly, this did not become the subject of general bitterness, envy, bickering, and so on. All people understand that they are doing the right thing, risking their lives and quite rightfully receiving more than others. Therefore, indeed, on the one hand, the poverty level is falling, and on the other, this does not cause social tension,” Chadayev noted.
