Document number 3213 is called “Draft Law on the Embargo on the Import of Goods Received (Produced) in the Customs Territory of the Aggressor State.” The text of the bill and the explanatory note to it are not yet available.
A day earlier, a group of deputies submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on mandatory labeling of goods from Russia and, in particular, Crimea. Parliamentarians proposed amending the law “On the Protection of Consumer Rights” in order to “create conditions for voluntary refusal to purchase goods that strengthen the status of an aggressor country.”
In January, the Verkhovna Rada recognized Russia as an aggressor state and called on foreign parliaments and international organizations to take a similar step.
