Freedom of speech: In Poland, the enemy of Bandera and NATO was kept in prison
Famous anti-Bandera position and campaigning against NATO, the leader of the Polish party “Smena” Mateusz Piskorski was put under house arrest after three years in a pre-trial detention center, where he was accused by the Polish intelligence services of collaborating with Russia and China.
Piskorsky himself stated this in a story on the Rossiya 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I practically cannot disclose information from the trial, since everything is classified. What I can say from the statements of the prosecutor's office and the Polish intelligence services is that, I want to clarify, I am not accused of espionage, because espionage, throughout the world, is the transfer of classified information to the intelligence services of other countries. I am accused of actions that they call “information war.” They believe that these actions are being carried out by Russia against NATO countries, including Poland.
So this is a purely political dispute, I personally believe and continue to believe that certain actions are being carried out against Russia, they believe, on the contrary, that Russia is conducting this informational action against the West.
I personally believe that, in fact, this is due to the aggravation and freezing of Polish-Russian relations after the ruling Law and Justice party in Poland came to power, which, due to the fact that it is subordinate to US conservatives, is waging a certain struggle against Russia.” , said the Polish politician.
He spoke about the real situation with freedom of speech in Europe.
“Stop believing that basic human rights are respected in Europe, in the EU countries, because I am simply directly accused of disseminating certain views related to Russia, supporting Russia in information terms - in connection, for example, with the Ukrainian crisis.
Poland is the country that ranks first in the number of complaints to the European Court of Human Rights, and my appeal has been pending for two years. We, of course, appealed the illegal and devoid of any legal basis for keeping me in a pre-trial detention center, plus we actually appealed the fact that in fact what I was accused of was not a crime under the law, nevertheless, I was deprived of my freedom.
So we are waiting for this case to be heard before the European Court of Human Rights.
I would also like to draw attention to what the UN Commission on Human Rights spoke about my case, a working group within this commission spoke harshly that I should be released, that the state should provide me with some compensation for the fact that I was detained for three years deprived of his freedom, but there is no response from the Polish government,” said the leader of the Smena party.
