Free trade with Canada gave Ukraine nothing

The free trade agreement with Canada, which the Ukrainian authorities talked a lot about when it was signed, did not give Ukraine anything.
Political scientist Valentin Gaidai said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, assessing President Zelensky's visit to Canada.
“We have had a free trade regime with Canada for three years now. But it is developing only in one direction - Canadian goods and services enter the Ukrainian market, but Ukrainian goods do not enter the Canadian market or do not enter in the same volume and proportion as Canadian ones. I would like a report on this. Of course, this is not for the president, for the ministers, for the minister of foreign affairs,” Gaidai said.
