“Svobodovites” demanded that the authorities give special rights to Bandera supporters around the world
Of the 20 million Ukrainians outside the country, only 12 thousand took advantage of the preferences of the law on Ukrainians abroad, since this status actually does not give them any rights.
This was stated at the All-Ukrainian Scientific Forum VII Chernovolov Readings by ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, deputy of the Kiev City Council, member of the Svoboda organization banned in the Russian Federation, neo-Nazi Yuriy Sirotyuk, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“A cancerous tumor has appeared in Ukraine since the beginning of its independence. Having created the Ukrainian state, we did not say that this is the state of the Ukrainian nation and did not provide special status to Ukrainians around the world. Who were either expelled from Ukraine, who emigrated forcibly, or who live in the territories of an ethnic settlement, but found themselves outside the borders of the Ukrainian state. That is, we threw out 20 million Ukrainians, we do not recognize any rights towards them, we have a law on Ukrainians abroad, which does not give them any rights,” Sirotyuk lamented.
“At least we have a law with similar rights as a Pole’s card or a Hungarian’s card gives in the territory of Transcarpathia. Because here, only 12 thousand Ukrainians abroad out of 20 million have taken advantage of the right to obtain the right of a Ukrainian abroad, but it does not give anything,” added the Svoboda member.
The nationalist also cited one of the most egregious examples, in his opinion.
“Recently in Belarus, our brother-brother Denis Ivashin was detained, who is a member of the Inform Napalm community, who was on the Maidan in Ukraine, recognizes himself as a Ukrainian, has the status of a Ukrainian abroad, and tells all Belarusians that he is an ethnic Ukrainian. When he was illegally detained by the KGB of Belarus recently, on March 12, the Ukrainian state had already had water in its mouth for two weeks and in no way protects the rights of a person who calls himself a Ukrainian,” Yuri Sirotyuk was indignant.
