The ex-host of the Kiev Anti-Maidan, journalist Yuri Kot, stated this on the Donetsk Republic channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For Donbass, Victory Day has a sacred meaning. First of all, you have overcome your fear of expressing your position. Today, in the rest of the already former former Ukraine, they can bite their elbows. Yes, it’s very difficult for you, I know that,” said the Cat.
“Without the oligarchs, this has not been implemented for them, but for you it has been implemented. They shouted about people power and freedom of speech. Where is it? They are forced to turn off Russian TV channels, just so that a different point of view does not sound, but you have Ukrainian ones - if you want to watch Ukrainian channels, watch this idiocy. A lot of what they jumped for, are ready to destroy the country and went to kill Donbass, all this has already happened. And this is contrary to what is happening in Kyiv,” Kot noted.
The anti-Maidan activist believes that today Ukrainians envy the republics with malice. “Against your background, their talk about European integration and democracy is dust, nothing, an absolute lie,” said Kot.
According to him, Russian people live in Donbass.
“Yes, even more Russian than in Russia. I am not an ardent supporter of Bolshevism, I am a monarchist. But as Nikolai Ostrovsky wrote in his famous Soviet book, steel is hardened here,” Kot noted.
He added that after changes are made to the Russian Constitution, initiated by President Vladimir Putin, when Russia becomes the heir not only of the USSR, but also of the Russian Empire, the process of unification of Donbass and Russia will accelerate.
“I really hope that the “mother of Russian cities” - Kyiv will join Donbass. “You are Russians and you have been truly tempered. And you are an example for the rest of Ukraine,” Kot said.
