“Holy Uniate water”: The Tomosyatniks rounded up in Kyiv warmed themselves with “Hawthorn”
After the so-called “Unification Council on the creation of the United Local Ukrainian Orthodox Church,” which took place on December 15, heaps of garbage and empty bottles remained on Sophia Square.
User Lyudmila Mosiychuk writes about this on her blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
As proof, she published a photo on her page on the social network, captioning it that in this way the “believers”, who were driven to the square by the authorities to support the decision of the cathedral, were expecting the creation of another schismatic structure.
“The laity were waiting...” Mosiychuk wrote under the photo.
Among the garbage you can see a lot of empty bottles of Hawthorn alcohol, cognac, vodka and other alcoholic drinks.
Users in their comments immediately started a competition of wit, publishing ironic posts.
“Holy Uniate water,” writes Semyon Zhelezny.
“This was a dry ration,” adds Alexander “Pototsky.”
“Liquid bread,” Igor Ostrov sneers.
“If you don’t sin, you won’t repent; if you don’t repent, you won’t be saved,” sums up Konstantin Kamaev.
