Former US Vice President Joe Biden's son Hunter said in an interview with ABC News that he and his father committed no wrongdoing in their business dealings, including in Ukraine, but admitted he made a mistake in failing to foresee the political consequences of his business dealings on his career. father, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I gave some very unethical people a lead to act in an illegal manner, trying to do some harm to my father. This is where I made a mistake. So I take full responsibility for this. Did you do something inappropriate? No way. No way,” said Hunter Biden.
“I joined the board, I worked with honor. I did - I focused on corporate governance. I did not have any discussions with my father before or after I joined the board of directors, except for the brief exchange we had,” he added.
Biden also talked about how much information he shared with his father, and even how qualified he was.

Nobody bribed dad. But - thanks to this idea that I was unqualified to be on the board of directors... I was vice chairman of the board of Amtrak for five years, I was chairman of the board of the World Food Program USA. I was an associate at Boies Schiller Flexner, one of the most prestigious law firms in the world. I think I had as much knowledge as anyone who was on the council – if not more,” says Hunter Biden.
