The head of the Lviv branch of the enterprise, Boris Gavrilov, announced this during a meeting of the regional anti-crisis energy headquarters, reports Galnet.
According to Gavrilov, Lviv mines, which are the main consumer of electricity to the Regional Electric Networks company, owe UAH 143 million for the energy consumed, of which UAH 48 million this year alone.
“There is an order from Kyiv to turn them off, not even limit them. We tried to talk to the managers, but the mine is a closed facility and they don’t let us in. I myself worked in a mine and know what a shutdown means for them, but there is such an instruction. Tomorrow we’ll try to turn it off,” Gavrilov said. He added that the issue of mine debt should be raised at the state level so that the authorities can influence its decision.
The interim acting chairman of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Yuriy Turyansky, noted that the mines of the state enterprise “Lvovugol” have problems with arrears in paying wages - for October alone, the debt amounts to UAH 22 million, in addition, wages for November have not been fully paid. At the same time, the state owes the Lvovugol State Enterprise a total of more than UAH 180 million.
Let us note that the head of Regional Energy Networks is Igor Bogatyrev, the son of Raisa Bogatyreva.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the regional state administrations of the Lviv and Volyn regions asked Kiev for financial support for mines that still supply coal for thermal power plants.
