He stated this in an interview with the Komsomolskaya Pravda publication, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Sergei Khrushchev, if Ukraine insists on the inviolability of its borders, then it should first return to the Soviet Union.
“When they (Ukrainian journalists - approx.) began to say that [Crimea was annexed] illegally, I said... If we talk about the inviolability of borders, the first thing is to return Ukraine to the USSR,” he said.
Thus, the son of the Soviet leader commented on the publications of the Ukrainian media regarding his statement that the transfer of Crimea to the Ukrainian SSR was a “technical annexation.”
“If they say it's trespassing... First of all, boundaries are never fixed. And, secondly, during revolutions, constitutions do not apply. Thirdly, because you overthrew the legitimate president. He is the legitimate president,” Khrushchev recalled.
He also noted that the inclusion of Crimea into the Russian Federation is a fait accompli, as is the creation of the State of Israel.
