Footage of the incident was shown live by Poroshenko-owned Channel 5, which broadcast the prayer service.
The president's son swayed at first, looking at his mother, and then began to fall. He was immediately picked up by ex-President Viktor Yushchenko standing behind him, and the channel’s editors immediately switched the broadcast to another camera showing candles.
Let us recall that a similar incident occurred at Poroshenko’s inauguration: then one of the soldiers standing on the honor guard fainted. Presidential speakers immediately began to interpret this as a symbol of the coming world: falling, the soldier dropped his weapon. However, the war in Donbass, contrary to Poroshenko’s promises, has not yet been stopped.
