“We have a monopoly distributor of cigarettes. Megapolis company – 98% of the wholesale cigarette market. The company belongs to a businessman, co-owner of the Russian military plant Degtyarev. This artificial monopoly, receiving profit in Ukraine, invests it in a weapons factory in Russia,” Vitaly Shabunin, a representative of the Anti-Corruption Center, said on the Shuster Live talk show.
“I know who we are talking about. These are two brothers - the Kesaevs, Dagestanis, citizens of the Russian Federation. In this company, 50% still belongs to Alexander Yanukovych. He half controls the Ukrainian wholesale cigarette market. This company still kicks open the door to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine,” confirmed deputy Andriy Senchenko, who was present in the studio.
