Kyiv, October 21 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – The law on cleansing power in Ukraine includes a number of officers who served in Crimea, but decided to remain faithful to the Ukrainian oath. The ex-Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, who also came under lustration, Admiral Igor Kabanenko, stated this on Hromadske TV.

According to him, Ukrainian officers decided to serve Ukraine and rebuild the army of this country, but because they served during the reign of Viktor Yanukovych, they will be transferred to the reserve.
“I am the only one fired from the Ministry of Defense. There are a number of other officers, including those who left Crimea. I don't understand this at all. These people made a meaningful decision; today they are rebuilding the Navy. Today there are many people who were against the troops participating against the Maidan, and did everything for this, also fall under lustration,” Kabanenko said.
