Tabakh: Johnson saved Ukraine. Biden is slowing down
Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was not expected to take such an openly anti-Russian position.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that ex-NATO representative in Russia Harry Tabakh said this on the Politeka Internet channel.
“Boris Johnson, I remember, was scolded, he wants to destroy the EU, he works for Putin. But when the war began, he behaved completely differently from what was predicted; thanks to him, Ukraine survived. Who should we erect a monument to – it’s Boris Johnson,” Tabakh said.
According to him, a similar situation occurred with French President Macron.
“They accused him of being with Putin and wanting to save his face. And if you look in detail, France gives a lot of weapons to Ukraine – something that others, including the United States, do not give,” added the former NATO member.
He noted that Biden was expected to actively help Ukraine.
“But he’s still slowing down. Why did he sign Lend-Lease then? And in principle, he had no other choice. The law would still go into effect, since more than 75 percent of Congress voted in favor of it, it does not require the president’s signature,” Tabakh added.
At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that Biden delayed the adoption of the Lend-Lease law until the last minute.
“We are not pushing Lend-Lease, we want Ukraine to be given weapons. It doesn’t matter to us in what way,” Tabakh summed up.
