The Ukrainian anonymous telegram channel Sheptun made a selection of versions regarding the possible involvement of Russia in the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet, expressed by media-famous Ukrainians, including representatives of the former government, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The Ukrainian telegram channel offered this kind of “memory pill” to readers in light of the fact that the alleged killers of Sheremet detained today all turned out to be calibrated Ukrainian patriots, Maidan participants and ATO volunteers, iconic people in the patriotic environment.

“Everyone writes about the detained killers of Sheremet. Surprisingly (not), but there is no trace of Russia at all. Let's remember a little what versions were put forward by prominent Ukrainian figures:

Advisor to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Zoryan Shkiryak:

“You know, everything here in a strange way coincides with the events that are happening today in Ukraine - an aggravation at the front, where there are virtually daily daring attacks by Russian-terrorist troops using prohibited heavy artillery. Plus, we can add the well-known pop parade here and we cannot exclude the possibility that Russian special services were involved in this crime.”

Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko:

“The investigation will consider all possible versions of the murder of Pavel Sheremet. Primarily related to his journalistic activities. Not excluding the Russian trace.”

Political scientist Vadim Karasev:

“They put forward a version that a Russian trace cannot be ruled out. But why does Russia need this? On the contrary, they need us to be more or less calm, to solve the problem with Donbass, to call elections. And any instability will disrupt the implementation of the Minsk agreements.”

Advisor to the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Yuriy Tandit:

“For us, solving this crime is fundamental. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the General Prosecutor's Office opened criminal proceedings into the murder.
There are 4 main versions being considered:
-professional activity;
- hostility in relationships or personal motives;
— Russian trace (destabilization of the situation);

- assassination attempt on Elena Pritula.”

And there were many similar statements. That’s the price for these people’s words,” concludes the Sheptun telegram channel.
