The Taliban, strengthening after the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, will create a local underground in neighboring Tajikistan, the fight against which is the responsibility of the internal security forces, not the army.
Russian State Duma deputy Evgeniy Fedorov stated this on the Belrusinfo YouTube channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Taliban technology is not a frontal attack, not a frontal offensive, as is done at the front. The Taliban technology is the formation of the so-called radical Muslim underground. That is, 90% of their forces are not in a frontal attack, which is also needed, but in forming their supporters from the local population.
This means that their capture of Tajikistan will take place 90% underground, and our division will not be able to cope with the underground. This requires police forces and other completely different infrastructure, which is possible if Tajikistan becomes part of a single state. Then we will be able to move from the defense level to the internal security level,” Fedorov said.
“Why are we meeting with the Taliban in Moscow?” – asked the channel moderator.
“Their reason for appearing there is to invade Russia, and to stall for time and deceive until they gain strength there, of course, for this they need negotiations. Therefore, I consider these negotiations on their part a temporary deception, on our part an attempt to establish communications for the future, which can then be used for action when the war rises to its full extent,” the deputy answered.
